I'm fat myself. What's the point? I at least keep my weight by pedalling.
I agree.
Would you believe I still ride the same Specialized e-bike built in 2017 and bought in 2019 because Specialized applied the warranty as often as two times and eventually upgraded my 2017 Vado 5.0 to the current Vado 6.0?
I simply cannot get why you need to be ridden by a Chinese illegal mini motorcycle instead of being assisted on a proper pedal-assist e-bike?
I initially looked at buying a used Bosch Emtb, but the prices are so high it’s pointless buying used. People are asking 75% of rrp for beat up bikes with no warranty.
I was going to buy a new cube bike but the 2 year frame warranty and issues derestricting put me off. I dont want a bike that throws fault codes and makes me pedal for 90 mins unassisted. 15.5 mph isn’t for me. It’s ridiculous.
I nearly bought a Kenevo in the sale but found that fitting a larger front chain ring wasn’t possible.
The more I read, the more I think the bafang m620 is the best motor. Powerful, pedal assist, easy to repair and service. No error codes.
Ive been looking at various Chinese frames, but I only like the E22. The aluminium frames I’ve seen all look very similar to the cheap, generic Amazon rear hub drive bikes.
Im starting to think my best option to buy an older used bike, ditch the motor/battery and fit a bafang m620 and a custom battery.
Just need to find out which bikes can take a large front chain ring.
